Social Networking

Social networking is very important to people in this generation. In such a modern human society, people would not be able to live without connecting each others. As the communication technology grow, the distance between everyone in this planet is pretty much close to zero. And something called Internet makes the information all around the world come to every individual very fast. We can do a lot of things by using Internet instead of the classic way such like shopping, mailing, job or school applications and so on. Also lots of new things that we can do on Internet gave us a "second life", it's a life people lived in the Internet work. So many people, especially youth, are now spending at least one hour to view or comment on some websites such like "facebook", "youtube", or "myspace"? And everyday, more and more people is starting live into this kind of "second life". I would not say this type of life is positive or negative. It has so many advantage of communication, and helping people present their ideas or comment others' ideas. Even a shy person that never talk in the real world would feel free to talk on line. But also some new problems come with this "second life". A lot of people spend too much time on line and being close to their Internet friends but far away from their families which is not right for a healthy society. I think to manage and balance these two kind of lives is what everyone should learn. Overall, it's the way we are living now. To be agree or not, Internet has already become something that we cannot cut out from our society. It will become more and more important, so eather you like or dislike, to learn how to do things by Internet is nessesery to everyone.

  1. I agree with you on the fact that social networking is becoming such a large part of our everyday life. It seems that if we are at home, work or even class every one are on the internet, using twitter or checking their Facebook. In away sites like these due come to our advantages by making it so much easier to stay in touch and meet new people all over the world with a press of a button. But at the same time it is still very dangerous for young kids. I thin that if handled the right way social netwroking site will pose no end the great possibilitiesas we read with the Obama cases, but it must also be stated and made sure that some how we can still protect kids from getting hurt by the many sick people who use sites like these to lure kids.
